Discover My Research and Advocacy Introduction

Overview of Research and Experiences

What makes me unique are the combination of my situation, my beliefs, my disability, and my abilities. It is true that I am both intelligent and creative, but the more unusual and important ability is my stubborness. Many people think that being stubborn is a defect, but it is what has kept me from ever giving up on my dreams, no matter what anyone says, and despite the obstacles in my way and my lack of resources.

Research and Advocacy Topics

So I have taken my interest in helping the weak and poor in the areas of:

(1) military advice (increasing awareness of practical risks and rewards of enlisting, explanations of military's reasons for extreme and politically divisive policies, and how to do well no matter who is running your command and get along with service members of any background),

(2) coping with Schizophrenia advice (what it feels like to have Schizophrenia, understanding the limitations your mental illness causes, how to succeed despite your limitations, and the most important factors in being happy and fuliflled, while staying as independent as possible),

(3) self help advice for both workaholics and the unmotivated (ethics/life skills and rational/long term thinking),

(4) disaster survival and worst case scenario advice (emergency prepardiness and future trends/possibilities),

(5) budget consumer technology advice (and the people/emotional factor),

(6) recommended humanities books and multimedia (iTunes playlists: music, audiobooks, e-books, apps),

and (7) recommended Bible verses.

Research and Advocacy Approach and Motivations

The deeper aspects of this guidance are philosophical, based on:

(1) my unique combination of Christian Existentialism and Philosophical Taoism,

(2) my unique understanding of Asian history (during Asian Golden Age, European Middle Ages, and Pre-Colonial Africa),

and (3) my unique combination of fiscally liberal and socially conservative political views.

I am very holistic, so I see all of these topics as fundamentally interrelated and interdependent.

Research and Experience Forming My Motivations

I also have served in the US Army and am permanently and offically disabled (with a full veteran's pension) with the mental illness called Paranoid Schizophrenia. My only income is my veteran's disability, which nothing is required of me for, to get it and I make no money off my website, or anything related to anything I write about.

Many of the abilities I have are rare or virtually non-existent in most people with mental illnesses less severe than mine. I also live in a forgotten, safe, and beautiful corner of America. I have written many books based on my 13.5 years of study in the humanities, yet I still don't have any accredited degree past high school.

I also understand how to build websites quite well as I have been designing my website since before Google existed in any form. I have also have an appreciation for the technical side of design like: compatibility, accessibility, efficiency, and marketing. My websites are always usable without my thinking about that, because I have trouble navigating most of the web, so I like designs simpler than almost anyone.

If you have an Apple iPad 1, iPhone 4, or iPod Touch 4 or with iOS 4 or higher, then you should be able to see my main website fine. For those who bought from other vendors, I have made a mobile/simplified site for you. Unfortunately and ironically Google devices have a much less powerful web browser than Apple ones. And yes my website looks great in Internet Explorer 6 (comes with Windows XP) and higher or any of the recent versions of most major web browsers on Windows (XP, Vista, 7, and higher), Mac OS X (10.4 and higher with latest free Apple updates), and Linux (or other X-Windows based).
